Refund and Cancellation Policy for Vayan AI

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund for your Vayan AI Subscription. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use (in particular Section 8.8). Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Use.
Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles returns. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle on our behalf.
1. Free Trial
Vayan AI offers a seven (7) day Free Trial to new users. A valid payment method is required to start the Free Trial, and a credit allocation is included so you can evaluate the Solution before paying. You may cancel at any time during the Free Trial through your Account settings or by emailing [email protected], and you will not be charged the Subscription Fee. Unless you cancel before the Free Trial ends, it will automatically convert to a paid Subscription at the tier you selected.
2. 10-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the Solution, you may request a refund of your first paid Subscription Fee within ten (10) days of the date it is first charged (i.e., the first charge after your Free Trial ends).
Because the Solution consumes real, third-party AI model usage on your behalf, any refund under this guarantee is calculated as:
the Subscription Fee paid, less the value of any Vendor Credits and Actions you have consumed during the period, prorated at the then-current rates.
If the value of the Vendor Credits and Actions you have consumed equals or exceeds your Subscription Fee, no refund will be payable.
3. Credits and Actions Are Non-Refundable
Vendor Credits (prepaid credits corresponding to third-party AI model usage) and Actions (units of work performed by the Solution) that have been consumed have no cash value and are non-refundable. They are charged at cost with no markup and correspond to work already performed and paid to third parties on your behalf. Unused Vendor Credits and Actions expire on cancellation, suspension, or termination of your Subscription and are likewise non-refundable.
4. Renewals
Subscription Fees charged when an existing Subscription renews are non-refundable, except that you may request a refund of a renewal charge within five (5) days of that charge where:
(a) you have not used the Solution during the renewed period; and
(b) you provide a valid reason for the request.
Vague or unverifiable reasons (for example, "I forgot to cancel" combined with substantial usage) may not qualify. To avoid an unwanted renewal charge, please cancel before your renewal date.
5. Other Situations Where a Refund Is Issued
A refund will also be issued:
(a) where Vayan AI terminates your Subscription without cause, in which case a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of your Subscription Fee is issued (Terms of Use Section 10.3(c)); and
(b) where you validly terminate for cause because of our uncured material breach, in which case prepaid Subscription Fees for the period after termination are refunded (Terms of Use Section 10.4(b)).
In both cases, consumed Vendor Credits and Actions remain non-refundable.
6. How to Cancel
You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your Account settings or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current billing cycle, and you will retain access until that date. We do not refund the unused portion of a billing cycle following a voluntary cancellation, except as described in this Policy.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and order details. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, using the same payment method used for the original purchase, normally within 14 days of approval. Refunds may be declined where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or violation of our Terms of Use.
8. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable law, including, for consumers in the EU, EEA, and UK, any applicable right of withdrawal. Such rights are administered by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Please note that statutory rights of withdrawal for digital content and services generally cease once you begin using the Solution or consuming Vendor Credits or Actions, where you have consented to the immediate provision of the Solution.
